GHK-Cu is a copper peptide studied for its role in collagen production. Here is what that research means for your skincare.

Why collagen matters

Collagen helps keep skin firm. In lab studies, GHK-Cu increased collagen production in skin cells.

What skin studies found

Some small studies of other GHK-Cu formulas reported improvements in wrinkles. Results varied, and those formulas were not Koppā’s.

What this means for your serum

This is research on the ingredient, not a promise of specific results. Koppā’s finished serum was not tested in these studies.

Research & references

Laboratory study. Maquart et al., 1988 — FEBS Letters. Cultured fibroblasts showed increased collagen synthesis. This was not a trial of a topical Koppā product.

Human evidence. Badenhorst et al., 2016 — Journal of Aging Science. A small eight-week study of 40 women investigated a serum with a lipid nano-carrier and reported improved wrinkle measurements. The tested formulation was different from Koppā’s.

Evidence is not uniform. Miller et al., 2006 — Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery. In a different post-laser setting, 13 participants completed a randomized study; objective wrinkle and skin-quality assessments did not differ significantly between groups.

These studies inform ingredient selection, not a clinical-results claim for this serum.
