Why people choose koppā
- The GHK-Cu percentage is printed on every label, and the full ingredient list is published for every product. Many copper peptide products state neither.
- 2% GHK-Cu in the serum is at the upper end of stated concentrations in retail copper peptide serums, where 1% is common, and Copper Tripeptide-1 sits fourth on the INCI list. A 45 ml bottle holds about 900 mg of stated Copper Tripeptide-1, 50% more product than a typical 30 ml serum.
- Value in numbers: US$8.33 per 100 mg of GHK-Cu in the serum, the most stated copper peptide per dollar of the eight serums in our ingredient comparison. Of the ten serums in our dated price comparison, the serum's 2% is the highest stated GHK-Cu, shared with Skingenetix. The cream is 80 g where most face creams give 50 g; the balm stick is 20 g where a typical stick gives 9 g.
- Every product is a complete formula, not one fashionable active: each page names every functional ingredient, what it does, and the published study behind it.
- The supplier specifies the GHK-Cu raw material at a minimum purity of 99%; the moisturizing cream has supplier accelerated-stability and temperature-cycling tests on file.
- Fragrance-free and silicone-free throughout; the serum is also paraben-free with no added colour, at pH 5.5 to 6.0.
- A complete routine in three steps that works from as little as one, usable morning and evening under sunscreen, without the dryness, peeling and sun sensitivity associated with retinoids.
- Worldwide shipping, with regional rates and free-shipping thresholds; unopened items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, and an order that arrives damaged or defective is refunded or replaced within 30 days.
What is in each product
- GHK-Cu Serum: 2% GHK-Cu (raw peptide specified at 99% minimum purity) leading a nine-component peptide and collagen complex (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Acetyl Octapeptide-3, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Carnosine, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Collagen), in a hydration system of glycerin, trehalose, betaine, polyglutamic acid and sodium hyaluronate, with two skin-identical ceramides (EOP and NP), panthenol and allantoin. Built for firmness, smoothness, hydration and barrier support.
- GHK-Cu Moisturizing Cream: 0.5% encapsulated GHK-Cu with 5% niacinamide, the dose that improved elasticity, texture and tone in 50 women over 12 weeks (Bissett 2005), plus 4% squalane, 3% jojoba, adenosine, three further peptides and two molecular weights of hyaluronic acid.
- GHK-Cu Face + Body Balm Stick: 0.5% GHK-Cu and Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, the peptide with a 93-woman, 12-week published study (Robinson 2005), with seven more peptides in a water-free base of coconut, jojoba, olive and meadowfoam oils, squalane and candelilla wax.
How the routine works
Serum first (3–4 drops, face and neck), cream second, balm stick on targeted areas, morning and/or evening. It works from as little as one step. Use copper peptides at the other end of the day from low-pH vitamin C and exfoliating acids; they layer happily with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, moisturizers and sunscreen. Finish mornings with sunscreen; no koppā product contains SPF.
Testing and evidence
- Built on GHK-Cu, a copper peptide with published human skin studies since 1998. Abdulghani et al. 1998 (20 volunteers, one month, thigh-skin biopsies; collagen production rose in 7 of 10 GHK-Cu users, more than with vitamin C or tretinoin in the same pilot); Leyden et al. 2002 (71 women, facial cream, 12 weeks: improved laxity, clarity, skin density and thickness; and 41 women, eye cream, 12 weeks: better than placebo and a vitamin K cream on lines, appearance, density and thickness); Finkley et al. 2005 (67 women, 12 weeks, book chapter); Badenhorst et al. 2016 (about 40 women, 8 weeks, double-blind, GHK-Cu in a lipid nanocarrier: wrinkle volume reduced 55.8% versus the carrier and 31.6% versus Matrixyl 3000). Reviews: Pickart 2015 and Pickart & Margolina 2018.
- Two of the serum's supporting peptides, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, were tested together in a serum in Zhu et al. 2026 (International Journal of Cosmetic Science; ex vivo work plus clinical studies of 50 and 42 people over 12 weeks: clinical scores for static lines improved 35% to 69%, expression lines 10% to 13%).
- Every koppā label states the GHK-Cu percentage, and the supplier specifies the raw GHK-Cu at a minimum purity of 99%. This is a raw-ingredient figure, not a finished-product result.
- We make cosmetic claims only: how skin looks and feels. koppā products are not treatments for acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, melasma or any skin condition. GHK-Cu has not been studied in pregnancy or breastfeeding; ask your doctor or midwife.
- Copper peptides and retinoids work differently. Many people choose copper peptides because they can be used morning and evening without the dryness, peeling and sun sensitivity associated with retinoids. Retinoids have the longer trial record; GHK-Cu's human studies used it morning and night for up to 12 weeks without that irritation phase.
